TAVISTOCK came up against Dart with both sides at the wrong end of the table. Ultimately Tavistock will be the happier of the two teams with a draw after they climbed a place in the league.

Tavistock were slow to get going as Dart tested keeper Osborne early on. The away team held Dart at bay and gradually got into the game. When Tavistock took the lead it was against the run of play.

Great work from Holland who chased down a lost cause set up a simple tap in for Shepard.

Shepard  quickly turned from hero to villain when he was yellow carded for not retreating five yards.

Down to ten men Tavistock put Holland into midfield with immediate impact. A ball from Wood at the back to Holland saw him run the length of the pitch to slot past the Dart keeper to put Tavistock two up.

The second half saw Tavistock determined to start better than they did in the first half, unfortunately Dart took the initiative and pressed their home advantage.

Dart pulled one back with a sharp angled drive from the edge of the 'D'. Tavistock were unlucky to concede the equaliser when the ball deflected off a defender's foot and looped past the Tavistock keeper.

This seemed to energise the away side as they went in search of a winner. That nearly came following another strong run from man of the match Holland, who crossed to Andrews who narrowly put the ball past the far post with the keeper stranded.
