WEST Devon yacht racer Richard Waite received a prize for third place in the 2012 dinghy racing season in his laser radial, presented by the commodore of the Royal Plymouth Corinthian yacht club.

Richard, from Whitchurch, has also had yacht racing success this year with a second place, crewing on a jouet 920, and is currently third in the winter series on a j24.
