Tavistock Colts 17

Okehampton Colts 22

IN this hard fought game Oke started the stronger of the two teams, with Dan Fogarty darting through the defence to score out side for the first try.

From then, the game got into a 'to and fro' effect with the lead changing hands on several occasions — but in the end Okehampton finished the strongest side.

Further tries were scored by Pat Nash, Kyle May and Liam Sampson, Lewis Taylor converting one of the scores. Giles Heard again playing well in the centre.

This has extended the Okehampton unbeaten run now to five games. Previous weeks have seen the Colts beat Barnstaple 43-0 and Honiton away 27-10.

Teignmouth Colts 5

Okehampton Colts 81

OKEHAMPTON travelled to Teignmouth last Saturday with only 14 players.

Oke started strong with the elements in their favour, with excellent driving runs, off load and handling right through the whole team and soon the scores came.

Will Cooper, in for his first home of the season, played really well at fly half, other good games were had by Callum Pillivant 5 tries, Liam Sampson 3, Rat Boy Francis 1, Matt Baker 1, Jack Davey 1 and Lewis Taylor 8 converted.

Skipper Pat Nash, playing his best rugby, of the season so far at loose head prop, had the only 'hic up' of the game. Finding himself marooned in the centre, he decided to throw a long looping pass, duly intercepted by the Teignmouth winger who ran in unopposed for their only score of the game.
