TAVISTOCK’s Guy Mammut and Cassandra McDowell competed last week in the Welsh capital at an Olympic distance triathlon.
The Tavistock Triathlon Club members started with a 1.5 kilometre swim in the mouth of the Severn, located in the iconic Cardiff Bay.
On a wet and windy day this was followed by a superb, fast cycle route along 40k of completely closed roads.
The triathlon was rounded off with a spectacular 10k run along the Cardiff Bay barrage.
The event village and transition was held in one of the most beautiful and striking locations in the sport at the Roald Dahl Plass in front of the Wales Millennium Centre.
