Babbacombe

TAVISTOCK first team entertained Babbacombe on Saturday, hoping to keep up their good run and land a hat trick of wins.

Batting first, Babbacombe were soon in trouble. Dom Snyman and James McGahey kept the batsmen contained and at 38-1 progress was slow. The introduction of brothers Barriball saw wickets begin to tumble. Charlie took four wickets for 23 and captain, Billy, took 1-34. James McGahey returned to clean up the tail and Babbacombe slumped to 125 all out.

In reply, Billie Barriball departed early but Ian Grey and Matt Witcher took the score to 71 and Grey, along with Dom Snyman, ensured there were no further alarms, giving Tavistock a comfortable seven wicket victory and taking Tavistock to third in the table.
