VISITORS Bradninch posted just short of 200 when they visited The Ring on Saturday.

Thanks mainly to the efforts of Piper (91) and contributions from Acton (26) and Horn (30) they were all out for 196 on a firm wicket.

The Tavistock bowlers who did the damage were Charlie Barriball (4-35) and Dylan Auchamp (3-10).

The home side never looked uncomfortable with half centuries from D Auchamp (52) and Billy Barriball (52) and useful knocks from skipper Dave Manning (30 not out) and Ian Gray (35). Tavistock wrapped it up with 197-3 and a useful 20 league points in the bag.
