Tavistock seconds v Babbacombe seconds

TAVISTOCK seconds entertained Babbacombe seconds at The Ring on Saturday, hoping to consolidate their mid-table position.

Batting first. Babbacombe were soon in trouble. Opening bowlers James McGahey and Jack Bellamy wreaked havoc at the top of the innings as none of the Babbacombe batsmen got to double figures with McGahey taking 3 for 13 and Bellamy 3-19.

Andy Gauler weighed in with 3-8 and Ryan Burke 1-6, to plunge Babbacombe to 49 all out in 21 overs.

Victory would have seemed to be a simple task, but Tavistock slumped to 17-3 before John McGahey and Marc Webber settled things down to take the team to a seven wicket victory and 19 points.
