Yelverton seconds travelled to a sunny and very hot Honiton.

The home team won the toss and chose to bat. With excellent bowling and fielding Honiton were bundled out for 113. Cameron Dawe, Terry Roe, Sam Skelton and skipper Gavin Jones all took two wickets a piece. Dom Rushton was wicketless but created the early pressure with seven overs for 9 runs.

Steve Colmer and Chris Cottrell got the Yelverton innings off to a solid start with a partnership of 47 before Colmer went for 20.

Gavin Jones came and went which brought veteran Gerry Keen to join Cottrell. These two saw the game to the conclusing with Keen 28 not out and Cottrell 57 not out. His sixth consecutive league score of over 50 in a row.
