WITH Conservative A and West Devon A having no fixture this week in the Tavistock Snooker League, Conservative B took full advantage by taking over top spot.

This they achieved with a well worked 4-1 win over West Devon C.

McKechnie for the Con B was the star of the show as he 'brought home the bacon' with a fine win over West Devon's dangerman Pinkney to put his side one up.

An unassailable lead for the Cons was soon achieved with further solid wins from inform Monk against Elliott and another close but good showing from Dolan against Hart. Evans then dug deep to end a current superb unbeaten run from Hodge to make it four for Cons B. Williams for the West Devon made sure that it was not a total wash out for his team as he stood firm to overcome Ewings in the final frame.

It was a good win for Conservative B but it was West Devon who rued some missed opportunities.

There was no problem for West Devon B as they inflicted yet more misery on bottom of the table Conservative C.

It all started so brightly for Con C though as Weldon breezed past an out of sorts Smith with a totally dominating display of snooker.

Even in the second frame West Devon's 'main man' Hoare had to call on all his reserves to overcome a feisty performance from Cath Friend to eventually take the frame.

From there on though it was all West Devon B with Horrell making short work of Roffey, and John Rich taking advantage of a wayward Neale. Finally Gilchrist brought up the four for West Devon B with a workman-like win over Con C's skipper Jago.
