CONSERVATIVE A stretched their lead at the top of the Tavistock snooker league table to a formidable 10 points courtesy of a 5-0 win over Conservative C.

Carruthers was not his normal potting self but was still too strong for the C team's Hoare to put his team one up. Bell made it two for Con A with a hard fought close joust against a 'never say die' Jago. Longden had a comfortable win against Con C's Wilkinson. The four came with an emphatic win for Cook over Ward with Evans making it five to stretch his unbeaten run this season to seven games.

West Devon snooker supporters were treated to a feast of quality snooker as their A and B teams went head to head again. B team's stand-in Sowden had trouble holding back in-form Hall as Hall rattled in a 25 break and proved too strong for Sowden. John Rich pulled the B team level with a superb performance as he glided smoothly past Emptage only for the A team to regain the initiative with Heathman making short work of May. Kevin Rich clinched it for the A side with a no scares removal of Smith.

The B team losing deficit was reduced to just one frame as Roger Rich took the last frame with a close one against Taylor which moved his team up to a healthy fourth spot in the league.
