CONSERVATIVE A made sure that Conservative Bs heading the Tavistock snooker league table was short lived when a commanding 4-1 win over them saw them return to the top spot.

The first frame was a 'family affair' encounter as Con A team's Tom Evans (senior) took on son Mark Evans (junior) with senior prevailing with breaks of 28 and 21, dominating from start to finish with fluent potting and immaculate safety.

Cook made it two for the Con A team with some solid potting to overcome McKechnie (junior). Some hope for Con B team was restored as Dolan pulled a frame back at the expense of stand-in Folley, playing his first game of the season. In a safety war of attrition permeated with foul shots it was Dolan who took more of the limited openings on offer to secure the frame.

Not to be phased Con A bounced straight back with Babb (22) encountering little resistance from Monk and Carruthers duly dispatching Lillicrap to make it four for the A team on the night.

It was a dominant display from Con A team.

West Devon D produced an excellent win with a 5-0 victory over West Devon B. Shoulders for West Devon D team slugged it out with Rich (senior) to take the first one in a close contest. May then did the business by beating one of the league's most consistent players, Hoare, to make it two. Decieco then made it three in another tight frame as he tamed the 'Welsh Dragon', with Murton digging deep to stretch the lead further with a well worked win over Horrell.

West Devon D team's ever elusive maximum finally came courtesy of a solid performance from Shrimpton (junior) over George Toland.

There were many close frames but a well worked maximum for the D team takes them within touching distance of mid table security if they win their game in hand.
