TAVISTOCK Squash and Racketball Club held its monthly competition last week. This month saw a racketball team event with two teams trying to secure as many points as possible for their team. The winners were Simon Powell, Jane Savage, Sylvia McIntosh and Joy O'Gorman in a close event between two evenly matched teams, with the winning margin being only six points. The winning team scored 135 points to 129 points scored by the team of Patrick Powell, Peter Strongitharm, Corrie Grice and Kate Wright. Simon managed to win both his games for the winning team with Corrie Grice doing the same for the other team. Next month will be the quarterly handicapped tournament.
