IN division one of the Okehampton and district Table Tennis League Okehampton A were home to North Wkye.

Enrique Cancer-Berra put North Wyke 1-0 ahead against Karen Stephenson, 11-5 in the fifth leg. Okehampton won the next three with Steve Madge beating both Steve Granger and Enrique 11-6, also in the fifth leg. Tom Misselbrook won in straight sets against John Squire. Tom Misselbrook won the next for North Wkye against Karen Stephenson 11-8 in the fifth leg.

Oke won the next three to lead 6-2. Granger won the the last singles for 6-3, Karen and Steve won the doubles against Enrique and Steve for a 7-3 win for Oke.

Horrabridge A were at home to Milton Abbot A. John Stewart won the first against Tim Wescott, Chloe Greenaway beat Alex Andrulenescu to put Horrabridge 2-0 ahead. Michael Blatchford won the next for Milton Abbot A against Brendon Seward.

Chloe and John beat Tim and Michael to lead 4-1. Alex beat Brendon for 4-2 while Chloe won the next to complete a fine maximum. Tim won the next game while John won the last singles for his maximum and joined Chloe in the doubles where they lost to Alex and Michael for a 6-4 win to Horrabridge A.

Okehampton B, home to Tavistock, saw the visitors race into a 3-0 lead with wins for Peter Hicks against Zoe Bennett, Roger Bokett beat Nick Jackson and Mark Bennett against Sarah Jackson. Nick pulled one back against Peter Hicks in five sets before Tavistock won the next five singles with Roger Bokett and Mark Bennett scoring maximums. Naomi and Nick Jackson won the doubles for an 8-2 win for Tavistock.

Okehampton C played Okehampton A. Josh Parsons did well to beat John Squire and Emily Haskell beat Karen Stephenson. Steve Madge pulled one back for the A side against Cameron Brooking and also beat Josh. Cameron won the next against Karen 13-11 in the fourth leg. Emily completed another maximum, Cameron won his second against John and Josh won the last singles for a 72 victory for Okehampton C.

In division two Moretonhampstead were home to Anchorage B. David Wilson put Anchorage ahead against Ken Underhill in a convincing straight sets win. Moreton won the next three — Graham Adnitt beat Roger Gilbert, Brian Skilton had a hard fought five leg win against Dave Vanstone and Graham beat Dave Wilson. Ken Underhill lost to Dave Vanstone in the fourth leg while Brian Skilton won his last two games for a fine maximum. Graham Adnitt also completed his maximum to put Moreton 6-2 up. Ken Underhill lost his singles against Roger Gilbert while the doubles was also a five leg affair, Wilson and Vanstone beating Adnitt and Skilton 11-8 in the fifth set as Moretonhampstead won the match 6-4.
