CHAOS Muay Thai in Okehampton hosted the Celtic Challenge for the first time on Saturday, in front of 300 to 400 people at Parklands.
There were 19 fights, with Scotland, Wales and Holland all being represented.,
It was a night to remember of great fights.
First to step into the ring representing the home gym was Alex Cole on his debut showing some great fast hands to win a close fight on points and claim the southern area Celtic title.
Young Marie Day made her debut and showed great technique to also claim the Southern area title,
Will Shaw dominated his fight putting his opponent on the canvas fives times with some devastating low leg kicks to claim the southern area title. Jordan Gale took on his heavier opponent from Wales, proving to strong with great combinations and teeps keeping his composure to out score his opponent on points in style to claim the British title.
Pete Yip took on a more experienced opponent in a close and entertaining match and out scored his opponent to claim the victory, Lee Baker won the Celtic English title against a tricky and experienced opponent while Herbie St Pierre claimed the English title.
Orgil Oj was impressive but had to stop after damaging his tendons in his foot, while Chantelle Tippitt just lost out on a points decision to Dutch star Georgina Vandilinden, the European number one with 60+ fights.
Christi Brereton took on Scottish star Amy Pirnie. Brereton had a slow start but came out of her shell in the second round to dominate the fight and claim the European title.
Lee Carey making his debut, lost bravely to an opponent from Wales.
Steve Pender from Chaos said: 'It was a fantastic show very well supported by the town credit goes to everyone involved for such a fantastic evening of Thai boxing from the juniors all the way up to the professionals.'
