SOME 156 runners took part in the seven-mile Burrator Horseshoe run which was won this year by Tavistock's marathon man Adam Holland in a time of 42.02 minutes.

Neil Holmes from Erme Valley Harriers came in second with a time of 43.15 mins and Andy Norris was third in 44.08 mins.

The first female over the line was Tavistock runner Jo Meek.

The moorland run starts from Meavy, as part of the Meavy Oak Fair, out over Dartmoor via Burrator Reservoir, Sheepstor Dam, Sheepstor Summit, Guttor Tor Summit, Ringmoor Down and Meavy River Ford.
