TAVISTOCK Amateur Boxing Club enjoyed a fun day on Saturday to raise money for its younger members. The event was held at the club’s base at Westbridge Industrial Estate in Tavistock — all under the supervision of boxing coaches Eric Spangle, Grant Metters and Lee Whiting.

The youngsters came under pressure in the tyre flip — with local firm Tyremarks providing the tyres — while the mums and dads showed their stamina in a fun run.

TABC secretary Tori Whiting said:?‘It was really good fun and everyone enjoyed it and are hoping to make it an annual event. We were raising money money for new equipment for the youngsters and are hoping to raise £600.
