A BUMPER cheque for £565 was presented to volunteer representatives of the Alzeimer's Society, Sue and Rachel, by Shirley Blackburn of the Tavistock Sir Francis Drake Bowling Club.

The money was raised during the 2013 season when the Alzeimer's Society was the ladies captain's charity.

Fundraising events included regular raffles and a charity day in August.
