Devon D Filleigh v Yelverton YELVERTON first XI consolidated their second place in the Devon Cricket League D Division behind leaders Babbacombe with their sixth win in seven completed games. Put into bat by hosts Filleigh, Yelverton racked up 204 off their 45 overs with the main contributions coming from captain Richard Goldsby-West with 79 and Anis Zubair with 28.  In reply Filleigh were bowled out for 93 to leave the Bohemians victors by 111 runs. Yelverton are seven points behind the leaders and a healthy 26 points ahead of third placed Uplyme and Lyme Regis. n This week is the second local derby of the season when Yelverton firsts take on local rivals Whitchurch, who make the short trip to Langton Park. The game starts at 2pm.   Devon seconds Yelverton seconds v Torquay seconds YELVERTON seconds lost by 10 wickets to a resurgent Torquay side at Langton Park on Saturday. Losing the toss on a wet wicket was not a great start and having reduced the Bohemians to 30-3 a good partnership between Mark Symes (72) and Chris Cotterell (20) and a late cameo from Ben Spear (20 not out) took the score up to a respectable 170. Unfortunately for the home side the Torquay openers, former Devon opener and now Devon Lions coach, Tim Western, with an unbeaten 96 not out and Tim Francis 53no knocked off the required runs without offering a chance.
