Wadebridge 3

Bere Alston United 0

ONLY keeper Mark Webber can hold his head up high as Bere Alston played poorly inside the first ten minutes. Bere were caught trying to play the offside trap on three occasions and were caught out each time only for Mark Webber to save.

Wadebridge caused havoc down Bere's left and finally scored as Bere failed to clear a corner. A blocked shot flew into the air and Connor Mewton reacted first to finally beat Mark Webber.

Bere Alston pressed hard in the second half but continually gave the ball away. Briders scored a second midway through the second half as Mike Curtis, being the last man just in Bere's half stood on the ball, leaving Wadebridge to sweep the ball up field. The ball was squared for Johnny May to score.

Bridger's third fom Connor Mewton as he chipped the ball towards the far post and a gale force wind helped it in. Things were made worse for the visitors when Gerald Lake was sent off.
