ALMOST at full strength, Bere Alston recorded a good win against a saints side who battled throughout with keeper S Williams having a fine game.

The first half saw Bere Alston dominate and goals from C Bray, Euan McCall and D Philips gave them a commanding 3-0 lead.

The second half was more even and end to end saints made it 3-1 as a clearance hit a Bere player to bounce around and was lashed in to the net. Straight from the kick-off Bere swept up field and a centre was knocked in by 16-year-old Dale Simpson who had missed a number of chances or stopped by keeper S Williams.
