BEN Bluett, from Tavistock has been in competition with his diving at the ASA Regional Novice Skills event held in Trowbridge, Wiltshire on Saturday. 

This event is the lead up to the ASA National Novice Skills which will be held in Southampton in May and is the first year that Ben, aged 8, will be old enough.

Ben did himself proud in the boys aged 8-9 category and not only beat his personal best, with 296 points, he also scooped the gold medal.
