ONCE again Bere Alston travelled in form to Torpoint and put in a performance that each player could be proud of.

The first half saw Torpoint pressing and Bere Alston defending with the odd break away.

The second half was similar as Torpoint hit a brick wall of defence and a keeper who was performing well. All this was undone by a penalty awarded late on for handball — which Bere Alston felt was a harsh decision by the referee.

Nevertheless Torpoint striker Dean Cardew put the spot-kick away to make it one-nil to the home side.

Bere Alston decided to give it everything they had and pressed Torpoint back which left gaps. Bere Alston is indebted to J Dixon for excellent handling in the goal.
