RAIN, strong winds and sunny spells did not deter players in the Tavistock Golf Club Ladies' BBB Open from producing good scores.

With 81pts the Tavistock team of Belinda McSherry, Kayleigh Cann and Donna Gage topped the winners' table.

There was very tight scoring for the next four places: The Woodbury team Michelle Underwood, Paula Cowl and Anen Breading were second with 70pts on count back from the Tavistock teams of Sybil Coles, Fran Horton and Dawn Dennis, Nicky Gawman, Gilly Jarvis and Bev Ruth and the Tedhidy team Jane Hollis, Sue Pascoe and Linda Brooks.

In sixth place with 69pts were Sam Avens, Wendy George and Helen Phipps from Tavistock.

The 'Best Visitors Prize' went to Caroline Brown, S Widderson and L Gorman from Teignmouth.
