Seaton U16s 2
Oke Argyle U16s 5
Okehampton conceded a goal in the first minute as they were caught napping from the kick-off. However, after that they then Okehampton took control. The players showed tremendous character and team spirit and were extremely well led by skipper, Ryan Gross.
The equalising goal came from a counter attack as Ross Voaden brought the ball away from a defensive corner and linked well with Jamie Mallett and Ben Bickle before smashing the ball home.
Argyle took the lead when Tom Stanbury latched on to a fine through ball to calmly slot it past the on rushing keeper.
Argyle were dominant and the defensive line of Voaden, Taylor, Gross and Loram were never in trouble with Ross and Bas adding to the attack whenever possible.
Okehampton increased their lead five minutes before the break as Jamie Mallett and Bas with some good interplay released Josh who found the corner of the net.
The second half continued in the same vein and again good work down the left saw Bas net the fourth. Seaton then closed the gap with a successful penalty. But a powerful headed goal by Lewis from a Gross corner sealed it for Argyle.
