AFTER winning division two of the Exeter and District League and unbeaten in the league this season Okehampton Argyle U14s reached the plate final with high hopes against Cullompton Rangers from division one.

Okehampton  took the lead in the first 15 mins through a suberb goal from Josh Tickner and were dominating the game for the first 20 minutes, dealing with several attempts on the Argyle goal with  two great saves from Tom Dennis in goal and some class defending from Cameron Makenzie.

Cullompton equalised  and then Argyle conceeded  a second goal before half time.

The second  half started  with Okehampton attacking well but a mistake in the Argyle defence conceded a third goal.

Argyle continued  to battle and a free kick from Declan Grimshaw just scaled the bar from distance. Then an Oke corner converted into a Cullompton attack  which ended up in the Okehampton net to make a final score of Okehampton Argyle 1 Cullompton Rangers 4.

The scoreline did not reflect the game and credit must be given to the Okehampton players.
