South West one
Tavistock A 3
Plymouth University B 3
TAVISTOCK waited until the dying seconds to clinch a deserved point out of this game.
The home side started the match brightly and were moving the ball around well, with some good, slick passing and creating some pressure in the visitors D.
As the game went on, University began to get more into their own groove and the game moved from a home side dominance into an end to end slog.
More and more chances were now being created by the visitors but the game was still evenly poised and was anyone's to take. Tavistock were very much the masters of their own destiny and continued to give the ball away cheaply and helped create more chances for the visitors than they did for themselves.
With the hard work still coming from the defence and both flanks, Tavistock always looked dangerous but it was another loose ball in the home D that was punished just before half time and University went into the break a goal up.
In the second half the Plymouth side immediately had Tavistock under pressure, and for 15 minutes the home side completely lost their composure and found themselves three goals down.
Some great control though by Lethbridge, saw Tavistock start to get back into some rhythm and once the passing game reappeared, Tavistock dominated the midfield through Aveyard and Honey.
Curno and Andrews continued to pressure the students and with Baker causing all sorts of problems up front the first goal was coolly slotted over the keeper by Curno.
The second shortly followed with only ten minutes to go and Lethbridge blasted a short corner into the net.
With the students now in complete disarray, the seconds were ticking and Andrews broke through from a fine passing move and slotted the third and deserved equaliser with only seconds to go.
