IN all it was a successful week for Okehampton Running Club. Five members ran the Run Exe 5K with some achieving new personal bests and Roger Voaden setting a new club record in the male veteran over 50 category.

Twenty runners supported their local Ruby Run Half Marathon. An undulating course with an uphill start and finish. This did not deter Rachael Emily Haydon from choosing this race as her first half marathon which she completed in 2 hours 13 minutes.

Some other credible times were achieved along with new personal bests for Graham Bryant and Mark Hawkins but the biggest triumph was by Andrew Vallance, who after achieving second and third places many times over the last 13 years, was finally on the top podium. Congratulations to Andrew on his win.
