IN division one of the Okehampton and district Table Tennis League North Wyke were at home to Okehampton B.

Nick Jackson beat Enrique Cancer Berroya 14-12 in the fifth set to put Oke ahead but Steve Granger levelled by beating Sarah Jackson. Gallardo Bustos against Di Wu, playing her first match for North Wyke.

Steve did well to beat Nick in four sets to make it 2-2. Roni lost to Enrique and Sarah won the next against Di. Nick and Roni both won two singles for Okehampton as did Enrique and Steve for North Wyke.

The home side won the doubles for a 5-5 draw.

Okehampton C played Horrabridge A. John Stewart put the visitors ahead by beating Josh Parsons. Oke C then won the next six singles before John won his second game. Okehampton C won the last singles and the doubles for a 8-2 win.

Emily Haskell scored a fine maximum and Josh and Cameron Brooking both won two singles each.

Milton Abbot A were at home to Bridestowe, who raced into a 6-0 lead when Alex Awdru Lenusu saved the whitewash against Phil Down 14-2 in the fourth set. Mark Fogerty and Mark Tancock completed maximums in the last two singles. Mark Fogerty and Phil Down won the doubles against Michael Blatchford and Ian Osborne for a 9-1 win to Bridestowe.

Okehampton A were at home to league leaders Tavistock. Emily Haskell played as a reserve for the visitors and was the star of the show, winning all her singles for a maximum. Steve Tyler won two singles and Steve Madge one for Okehampton. Peter HIcks won two singles and Roger Bowkett one and Tavistock won the doubles for a 7-3 victory.

In division two Anchorage A were at home against Gunnislake. Anchorage won the next three singles before Jack Flockton pulled one back against Colin Brooker. Jack also beat Colin Jones.

Malcolm Hopkins won all his singles; Malcolm and Colin Jones won the doubles against Jack aned Michael 13-11 in the third leg for a 7-3 win to the home team.

Anchorage B raced into a 3-0 lead at home to Horrabridge B. James Emony pulled one back in a hard fought five setter against Dave Vanstone.

Roger Gilbert won all his games for a maximum. His wife Jonny did well to win two singles and they won the doubles against David Stewart and Lesley Coleman.

David Vanstone had to pull out of the last singles due to feeling unwell. David Stewart won the singles in five sets against Jenny as Anchorage B won the match 7-3.

Okehampton D played rivals Okehampton E who they beat 10-0 but Eli Holt took Mari Baldwin and Frank Cockburn to third leg deciders. Luke Bennett scored a maximum for the D side.

Okehampton D played Moretonhampstead. Luke was again unbeaten but David May beat both Mari Baldwin and Frank Cockburn. Frank and Mari won the doubles against David and his son James in three sets for a 8-2 win for Okehampton D - which takes them into third position in the league.

Points were awarded to Okehampton A and Okehampton C against Milton Abbot A.
