THE annual Christmas Blue Ball competition took place at Tavistock Squash Club.

Both squash and racketball players attended and were split into four teams of similar abilities to compete in games using blue balls.

Seasonal refreshments of mulled wine and mince pies kept spirits up as teams battled, with sometimes hilarious results, with balls that had much more bounce than usual.

Jokers were also used to add to the confusion, and some squash players were forced to play racketball for the first time and vice-versa.

In all, everyone enjoyed an excellent evening with the top team receiving festive treats as prizes.
