TAVISTOCK Swimming Club member Alex Hobbs travelled to the University of Nottingham to compete in the Cerebral Palsy National Championships.

Alex, aged 10, competed against swimmers of all ages to achieve two silver medals, one bronze medal and two personal best times in his category.

He achieved personal best times in the 100m backstroke, where he won the silver medal and in the 100m freestyle, which earned him a bronze medal. Alex also achieved the silver medal in the 50m backstroke and a fourth place in the 50m freestyle.
