Okehampton A 6
Ashmoor C 0
OKEHAMPTON men's second team faced a tricky test to Ashmore in the afternoon kick off, but made a blistering start when Caleb Bourne got on the end of a cross to score the first goal within minutes.
Soon after, captain Brett Lawson doubled Okehampton's advantage — strong play from Okehampton's wingers Stuart Jarvis and Jacob Jones kept the team attacking with Stuart getting himself a goal.
Whenever Ashmore attempted to attack, it was well prevented by defenders Alex Osman and John Jarvis, with midfielders Tim Morgan, Jaden Read and Jake Lloyd dominating the middle of the pitch.
Okehampton keeper George Morgan had to save one shot in the first half to keep his clean sheet though, but a goal from Lloyd meant Okehampton were 4-0 up at half time.
The second half saw excellent holding play from Morgan and man of the match Jaden Read allowing the wing backs Tom Hutchings and Simon Bourne more space. Okehampton's domination in midfield led to Lloyd and Captain Lawson getting another goal each to end the match at an excellent 6-0 win.
