A CHRISTMAS Charity Zumba party and disco held at Tavistock Town Hall recently, saw people dance 'til they dropped and raised a staggering £6,941.74.

All proceeds of the event are going to CLIC Sargent and the oncology ward 34 at Bristol Royal Hospital for children.

It is hoped the money raised will make a real difference to children suffering with cancer and to their families.

Organisers Jenny and Angie Schliffkie, Victoria Hewes and Claire Bulley expressed thanks to everyone who donated, attended and contributed to the event.
