YOUNG people from Callington are going without food for 12 hours this week in a bid to raise money for an international aid agency.
The youngsters, who are all members of Callington Methodist Circuit Youth Club, are aiming to complete the nationwide sponsored fast in aid of the charity World Vision.
Money raised over the weekend May 22 and 23 will help to save lives and bring fresh hope to countries across the world by providing advanced healthcare, clean water, irrigation and drainage.
On Saturday May 22 the group will be in Callington collecting money for the charity in a cardboard wishing well and they will also be cleaning the silver and brasswork in Callington Methodist Church in an effort to raise that little bit extra.
The aim of World Vision?s campaign is to raise more than half a million pounds for their clean water for communities fund which enables large numbers of people to have access to safe drinking water for the first time.
