A POPULAR children's theatre group that started in Tavistock almost 40 years ago is calling on supporters and members from the past to try to organise a 40th anniversary re-union.
The Personalities Youth Theatre group went into production of their first stage musical 'Downtown' in the autumn of 1975, ready for their debut at Tavistock Town Hall in the February of the following year.
'Oh Sir Francis' and 'Romany Way' were popular productions that followed and the theatre group shows became a successful annual event in the town's theatrical diary.
Now nearly 40 years later, a few of the now old, 'young thespians' want to organise an informal get-together and remember their many first night nerves and prompts from the dedicated team that wrote, directed and performed for audiences on the boards of Tavistock Town Hall.
The reunion will take the form of an after-show party and is scheduled for this autumn.
Anyone wishing to attend or help organise the reunion can call James Bird on 07989 506943 or email [email protected]">[email protected]
