Tavistock and District Youth Forum has been given three places for the 2009 Ten Tors Challenge.
The forum, part of Tavistock and District Outdoor Education Forum, has been given places for the challenge's 35, 45 and 55-mile teams.
The initial briefing for youngsters who would like to take part is on Thursday, January 29. Training will start on Saturday, February 1 and every fortnight thereafter with two weekends training, all carried out by qualified outdoor leaders.
The challenge is a two-day event for teams of six young people aged 14 to 16 for the 35-mile event, 16 to 18 for the 45-mile and 17 to 19 for the 55-mile.
