THERE is still just time for youngsters in the area to take part in an action-packed few days of adventure which takes place at Dartmoor Training Centre this Bank Holiday weekend.

The excitement includes kayaking, river crossing, climbing, abseiling, caving, night walking and new for this year, mountain biking.

The residential outdoor education weekend has been jointly organised by Tavistock and District Youth Network, the Outdoor Education Forum and Devon Youth Service.

The fun starts at 6.30pm tomorrow (Friday) at the training centre at Prince Hall, near Princetown and finishes at 5.30pm on Sunday.

The weekend is open to young people from eleven years and above from the Tavistock area and costs £35.

However, any young person in the area who would like to attend but feels they may have difficulty raising the fee should contact the youth office at Tavistock College as financial help may be available.

Anyone interested in the weekend, for which there are a few places left, should contact John Collacott at the District Youth Office at Tavistock College as soon as possible on 01822 613522 or 01822 614231 ext 258.
