THERE is still time to enter the annual pumpkin competition at RHS Garden Rosemoor in Great Torrington ? the deadline is October 19. Pumpkin day will be held on Sunday October 28 from 11.30am to 3pm at Rosemoor and is a great opportunity for adults and children to experience something a little bit different. Activities range from the competition and prize giving ceremony, to pumpkin trails and an exciting gourd walk, as well as special children?s events. There are four classes in this year?s pumpkin competition: heaviest pumpkin (from seed provided by Rosemoor), most imaginative pumpkin, best lantern and adults? best lantern (carving only). All winners will be given a rosette and bag of bulbs.
