CHILDREN from Mount house School pre-prep have raised £1,000 for Children with Leukaemia by taking part in the Mr Men marathon challenge. The challenge is based around the number 26 — the number of miles in a Marathon race, but for the children's challenge, they can get involved by doing an activity of their choice. The youngest children in the nursery class played a pass- the-parcel game with 26 layers of wrapping, the reception class made a collage of 26 different decorated Mr Men, year 1 children learnt how to spell 26 words, and the children in the top class were given a list of 26 words that they had to include in a story they each created individually. The children were sponsored to complete these tasks by their parents.
