TAVISTOCK Cricket Club have signed a new South African player for the forthcoming season, which gets under way this Sunday.
20-year-old Orin Roesstorff, who last year scored 1,400 runs for Western Province, will make his debut for Tavistock on Sunday April 27.
Orin is a qualified coach who has worked extensively with junior players. The club plans to make use of his coaching experience to assist in the development of their young players.
Also joining Tavistock Cricket Club?s ranks this season are Alan Searle and Colin Mortimore, who both played for last year?s premier Devon League champions Bovey Tracey.
And the club?s new artificial pitch will be put through its paces every Wednesday night when recently appointed coach, Eric Wilcox, will be in attendance in the nets.
