Exmouth Town . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3

Okehampton Argyle . . . . . . . . . . .1

WITH several players unavailable because of holidays and other commitments, Argyle were forced to include young players, who were playing youth football not so long ago.

Phil Evans, Steve Kinsey and Matt King all gave good accounts of themselves and will be surely be seeking a regular place.

Shaun Sandercock pulled off a couple of good saves for Argyle, while at the other end Robbie Sandercock and Phil Evans had the best chances to score for Okehampton, but shot wide.

Two minutes into the second half Argyle?s Steve Kinsey?s snap shot hit the crossbar and was scrambled away.

Argyle now enjoyed their best spell, but good chances all went wide and as in earlier matches these misses were to prove crucial.

On the hour a harmless looking attack from Exmouth provided them with their first goal.

Defenders Cann and Agnew could both have cleared the ball, but instead left it to each other, allowing Ben Sheperd to squeeze between them and shoot past a helpless Shaun Sandercock.

Argyle were not behind for long ? following a free kick from Stuart Cann, Kevin Gill sent in a bullet header to provide the equaliser.

Ten minutes from time Exmouth regained the lead when Paul Dowling stooped to head in a rebound from a Shaun Sandercock save.

In injury time, the same player scored again heading in from close range.

This week Argyle entertain Heavitree at Simmons Park. 3pm kick off.
