DUE to the serious vehicle accident at about 1.30pm on Sunday, November 20 near Magpie Bridge, I was one of many in a long tailback of diverted traffic on the Whitchurch Road, travelling from Whitchurch to Horrabridge. It was planned for me to transport a preacher from Horrabridge back to Whitchurch for a service at 3.15pm. After nearly an hour crawling down to the bridge in Horrabridge, the situation was made more difficult because vehicles were backed in three directions so that, if a driver actually managed to get onto the bridge, the exit was blocked. There were groups of youngsters on both sides of the bridge, who gamely tried to sort out the chaos and not only got me over the bridge, but advised on the ?back? route to the address I was looking for. Thanks to them, the service took place, albeit half an hour late, when those involved in the accident were included in prayer. I would very much like to record my appreciation of the efforts of the young people to help during the closure of the main road. Mrs June Woodland The Dell Tavistock
