WEST Devon mayor Peter Hill and Tavistock mayor Norma Woodcock joined successful Duke of Edinburgh participants at their major award ceremony in the town hall last Wednesday.
The event, organised by the Tavistock and District Duke of Edinburgh?s award committee, celebrated the achievement of young people from across the area who gained bronze, silver and gold awards.
Making the presentations was Marion Luckhurst, director of CHICKS, the West Devon-based charity for country holidays for inner city children. Chairman of the presentation evening was award committee chairman Kelvin White.
Also pictured with the two mayors is Duke of Edinburgh regional officer Dudley Hewitt.
