WE are residents of Princetown, living within yards of where Mark Turnbull and his friends practised their music until the recent intervention of 'Killjoys' (Times December 6).
Although not fans of the 'Nu Metal sound', we had no problem with the noise as it did not seem excessive and was never at anti-social times. We thought it was so nice to see (and hear!) young people getting together and doing something creative.
There is a disturbing trend towards destructive behaviour among the young people in Princetown, where there is an undeniable lack of appropriate amenities for the majority of them.
It would seem that well-motivated individuals who attempt to surmount such difficulties, and do something constructive with their time are to be thwarted by a small-minded minority, who appear to have forgotten what it is to be young.
