A NEW youth group is appealing for people to donate their unwanted books to help its first international project.

The new Youth Rotary group, called 'Tavistock Interact', comprises members aged between 12 and 18 from Tavistock College and Kelly College, who meet regularly and are currently working together to organise local and internationally based projects.

The group recently held a Christmas fundraising event, selling personalised baubles at Tavistock College's Christmas Fair to raise money for the projects.

For the local project the group will be visiting local nursing homes to host bingo and games afternoons, and for the international project, the group is currently looking at the possibility of sending books out to people in Serbia.

There are collection points at Tavistock Library and Tavistock College for anybody interested in donating books they no longer want or need.
