TAVISTOCK men's hockey team knew they were in for a tough game against the side who were lying top of the table.
Tavistock started the slower with Uni opening the scoring. Tavistock started to work as a team with some good linking play by Way, Barratt and Honey Snr.
They got the equaliser with a piece of individual genius from Way who tee-ed the ball up for Andrews to slap it in for his first.
Tavistock's second came from some typical top class shooting from Heard who screamed the ball into the goal from a tight angle.
Tavistock started to tighten the screw and with a dynamic run Honey Jnr cut through the Uni defence and set up Boot-Handford for the third.
The second half started brightly with another goal from Andrews for Tavistock's fourth.
The Uni boys started to up their game and scored to make it 4-2. Uni carried on the onslaught but Lethbridge kept them at bay with the help of Holden and Cowen.
Tavistock sealed the victory with a goal from Honey Jnr who cut the ball over the keeper and into the goal.
This victory puts Tavistock top of the league by two points.
