LEWDOWN Young Farmers Club raised a bumper bundle of charity cash when they undertook their annual sponsored ten-mile push in September. The group last week presented a £350 cheque for Cancer Research to Mary Barkwill. The fundraising event was a wheelbarrow push with the participants dressed up as grandads and grannies. The route took the club members from the Fox and Hounds at Bridestowe along the old A30 through Lewdown, finishing at the Arundell Arms in Lifton.
