A CHAGFORD farmer gained valuable experience when he travelled to the National Primestock Show recently, taking part with the Young Farmers? Club Devon team.
Clyde Coaker was placed equal third in the intermediate questionnaire class, 10th in the pig reasons class, 12th in the beef reasons and 9th in the lamb reasons class. He came 7th overall.
Only the best members from all over Devon were picked for the team, who were put through a vigorous stock judging training routine of live and carcass animals.
YFC member Helen Williams said: ?We compete against other members from all over the country, so it?s a great way of meeting people and we work as a dedicated team.?
