BERE Ferrers Horticultural Society Gardening Club's annual plant and produce show was a success with standards high, and exhibitors ranging in ages from 5 to 92.

Judges were R Shaw, P Baker (vegetables and flowers), Iris Snell (floral art), Marion Lethbridge (domestic), Eileen Foster (handicrafts and children), Brian Martin (photography). Miss Jean Sharman, village archivist and president, and Dr W E Leverton presented the trophies.
