KILWORTHY Point to Point, postponed last week due to a waterlogged course, will definitely go ahead this Saturday.

Organisers Lamerton Hunt are hoping the Easter break will mean a bumper turnout at the races, which start at 12.30pm.

There are 186 entries for the series of races.

Louise Cox, entries secretary, said: 'Yvonne Watson and Jo Channon will be looking to take the members' race with their string of horses entered. Pauline Geering and her husband Tony will be contesting the members' with four of their string.

'In the other races we have David Pipe in the men's open and Graham Roach, whose red and white colours were made famous by Viking Flagship, who won the Queen Mother chase at Cheltenham, will be contesting the restricted race with Bolt Action ridden by Tim Dennis of Bude.'

Louise said local interest will also be shown in Robert Jarman and Belinda Fuller from Lydford, who will be looking for places with their horses.

In addition to the all-important races, visitors will be able to visit a variety of stalls and trade stands. There is also a licensed bar and bookmakers.
