TAVISTOCK Lions Club carnival draw prize — a limited edition print of a painting of Yes Tor by F J Widgery — has been presented to Brian Beer, of Plymouth.

The picture was donated by Martin and Nina Hawkins, of Tavistock Picture Framing Company.

This year's draw raised just over £1,320 which will go into the carnival pot for distribution among the clubs, schools, local charities and other organisations that took part in carnival week.

Carole Gawn, the vice-president of the club, thanked the Hawkins for their continued support, all the other organisations which provided prizes for the draw and Morrisons and Focus, which allowed the club to sell the tickets on their premises.
